Warm-Water Underfloor Heating Benefits

Benefit-img

Even heat
distribution

Warm water underfloor heating radiates heat gently upwards from the floor, making usually cold floors warm to the touch. Cold spots or draughts associated with radiators are a thing of the past as heat is distributed evenly where it is needed most.

Benefit-img

Efficient heating
solution

Warm water underfloor heating uses lower temperatures than traditional radiator systems, meaning it is both cost effective and more environmentally friendly. As underfloor heating systems cover a much larger surface area, you are also able to heat the room more quickly, as well as effectively.

Benefit-img

Hidden heating
solution

Underfloor heating systems are discrete heating solutions, as all pipe work is hidden beneath the floor. This not only removes the need for unsightly radiators but frees up wall space, making it an ideal solution where space is at a premium.

Benefit-img

Low profile

Our warm water underfloor heating systems are low profile and can be installed upon a range of sub-floors. This provides a simple solution to the common challenge of floor build-up height when installing warm water underfloor heating in existing builds.

Underfloor heating for new builds

Warm-water underfloor heating is a cost-effective, energy efficient space heating solution for new build properties.

With their self-adhesive backing and interlocking features, Profix® underfloor heating panels are very quick to install and guarantee the UFH pipework is always positioned at the correct spacing.

Incorporating a Profix® low-temperature warm-water underfloor heating system in a new build property, powered by a heat pump, will provide a ‘future-proofed’ space heating solution complying with the requirements of The Future Homes Standard and The Future Buildings Standard.

Underfloor heating for renovations

With its large surface area, a warm-water underfloor heating system can be an ideal space heating solution for retrofit projects.

At just 15mm in height, and with the added benefit of a self-adhesive backing, Profix® underfloor heating panels offer a very thin, fast-fix solution.

The self-adhesive backing on every 15mm Profix® Panel removes the risk of mechanical fixings compromising any hidden services within the existing sub-floor and, thanks to their very low profile, result in only a minimal increase to the current floor height.

Low Energy Underfloor Heating

Low Carbon Heating Systems UK

The UK has committed to becoming carbon neutral (Net Zero) by 2050. With 20% of UK carbon emissions produced by heating buildings, low carbon / low temperature heating systems will be key to achieving this commitment. As production of electricity becomes cleaner through the increased use of renewable energy sources, it is clear the government views heat pumps as being an integral part of the solution.

Both the Profix® and Profix® PLUS underfloor heating panels can be used as part of a low carbon / low temperature warm-water underfloor heating system using heat pumps. An air source heat pump (ASHP) can save up to 60% carbon emissions compared to a condensing boiler.

Both the Profix® and Profix® PLUS panel enable a thin screed warm-water underfloor heating solution to be achieved. When powered by a heat pump, this ‘future-proofed’ low energy underfloor heating solution is capable of delivering high heat outputs even at low water temperatures. With build-ups starting from just 15mm, a thin floor heating solution is now achievable for both new build and retrofit projects.
